Invitation letter for a Visa:

If you need a letter of invitation from the LS2N (The lab of digital sciences of Nantes) Director for your visa, please send an email to the following two email addresses Solenn.Gillouard@ls2n.fr and stephane.caro@ls2n.fr.

 

Nantes is easy to get to by plane with direct flights to 100 national and international destinations:

  • 1 hour by air from Paris and London
  • daily return flights to Paris’ Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle Airport
  • all major European cities in less than a 2-hour flight away
  • 20 minutes from Nantes downtown (Commerce Tram station) via the airport shuttle (services every 30 minutes) www.nantes.aeroport.fr

Nantes is less than 2 hours from Paris by train

  • the TGV high-speed train station is right in the city centre
  • 21 daily high-speed train services between Paris and Nantes
  • 3 hours from Paris’ Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle Airport with 4 daily high-speed train services
  • Direct high-speed train services to: Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Paris and Strasbourg

Nantes boasts an extensive road network to:

  • the East of France: Paris via the A11 motorway
  • the South of France: Bordeaux and Toulouse via the A83/A10 motorways
  • the West of France: Brest via the N165/E60 main roads
  • the North of France: Rennes via the N137 main road B

Public transport in Nantes:

All conference participants will receive a ticket that will allow them to travel free of charge in Nantes on public transport.

Note that it is very convenient to go to the conference venue (Centrale Nantes campus) from Nantes downtown (Commerce station) with the tramway (red line, line no 2).

For your information, public transport in Nantes is free on Saturdays and Sundays!

 

You will be given a TAN (Transport de l'Agglomération Nantaise) card at check-in on Sunday evening and/or Monday morning.
 
This card will allow you to use public transport freely from June 26, 2023 to June 28, 2023.
 
 
IMPORTANT: Tram Line 2 will be cut between Orvault Grand Val and 50 Otages due to construction from June 25, 2023 to August 27, 2023. That doesn't mean you cannot come to the conference location by public transport. From Commerce station (main tram stationin Nantes downtown), you can take tram 2 to “50 Otages” station. Then take the "Bus relais" from "50 Otages" to "Ecole Centrale - Audencia" station.
